Maryland Action Collective

The Maryland Action Collective, or MAC!, is a non-hierarchial, consensus-based collective here on the University of Maryland campus. We are an autonomous group, focused on direct action and not directly associated with any political office-holder, candidate or party. We take on a variety of issues.|

• Weekly meetings are held on Thursdays at 7pm in Jimenez 2125.
• Mobilize around the April 16th World Bank and IMF meetings in Washington D.C.

What did we do last semester?

• We organized a nonviolent Noise Action Against CAFTA at the Central American Free Trade Agreement meetings Tuesday, December 9th at 9:00 AM.
• We went to the Free Trade Area of the Americas protests (http://www.stopftaa.org, http://www.ftaaresistance.org) in Miami, Nov. 17-21 then headed to Georgia for...
• ... the annual School of the Americas protest in Ft. Benning, Nov. 21-23. Peace Forum rented a van and also sent folks.
